Al 99% sì.
Puoi applicare quella soluzione utilizzando un Live CD (senza installare alcun OS in più) ad esempio Ubuntu

vabbè.....fatto ! sto installando direttamente ubuntu 11.04 cosi è la volta buona che lascio Windows.........

... e come d'incanto???? neanche ubuntu si installa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....ho lanciato il dvd live (ver. 10.04)tutto funziona (schermata e collegamento ad internet) ma nella prima fase dell'installazione si blocca e rimane fermo!!!! incomincio a esaurirmiiii

Beh, se riesci ad accedere al disco fisso tramite Ubuntu in live, se sei sotto XP:

- Get into C:\hp\bin\CheckConfig\cfgchk.bat
- Rename the file "run.py" to "run.p_" or just delete it. (That's the file that verify the hardware configuration for the OEM version)
- Then reboot!

Invece in Windows Vista:

- Get into C:\hp\bin\CheckDMI folder
- Rename the file "CheckDMI.cmd" to "CheckDMI"
or
- Edit the file and change the "0" (zero) value (there is only one in the whole file) for "1" value...which means that the hardware configuration respect the terms of the OEM contract.
- Then reboot!
