Tutto perfetto - non penso, ed è proprio per questo che ti avevo detto di eseguire la scansione completa con antivirus dalla modalità provvisoria.Un bel po' di file infetti abbiamo tolto con l'ausilio di programmi che ti ho fatto usare io, soprattutto abbiamo rimosso i malware attivi, però sotto sotto potrebbe esserci ancora qualcosa.

La prova con Firefox puoi fare anche adesso, però dopo la scansione con antivirus il verdetto sarebbe più completo e definitivo.

Guarda, il pc abbiamo ripulito dai malware e la scansione di Antivir lo conferma
Se Firefox continua lo stesso a crearti questi problemi di RAM, dev'esserci qualche altro problema allora, magari qualche plug-in o addons che va in conflitto con il resto.
Prova ad installare il Firefox in una cartella diversa (senza rimuovere l'installazione di prima) e vedi come si comporta. Se il Firefox "pulito" si comporterà bene, allora dovrai revisionare tutti i plug-in ed addons installati nell'installazione principale di Firefox.

mi sembra scorretto usufruire del supporto e non comunicare il modo in cui si è risolto nel caso in cui non sia quello indicato da chi sta offrendo il supporto

p.s.: però boh... non so che scansione abbia fatto prima... è stata molto veloce. ora ne sto facendo un'altra, in corso da una cinquantina di minuti e a meno di metà percorso. per ora ha trovato 5 file infetti che ho messo in quarantena. appena finisce posto il log. ad ogni modo il problema oggetto del topic è risolto

Io mi fermo a 15 mb con due processi attivi.

esatto.
mi spiego: ho aggiunto la visualizzazione anche della memoria virtuale perché "non mi trovavo con i conti".

nel senso che io non so se il valore memoria allocata debba esprimere la somma della memoria consumata da ogni singolo processo, fatto sta che alle volte questa somma era enormemente distante dal valore di memoria allocata.

mentre quello della memoria virtuale si avvicina di più. quindi onde evitare, come in passato, di avere la ram più o meno piena (ho 512mb totali) e non capire perché ho messo anche sto parametro.

io ora non so la differenza tra "memoria" e "memoria virtuale" e non metterei manco la mano sul fuori che "memoria allocata" sia il valore a cui ci si debba riferire per vedere se "sfori" rispetto alla ram che hai disposizione, però empiricamente diciamo che così i conti tornano.

qui la memoria allocata è 461mb circa. sommando i valori di "utilizzo memoria" si arriva a 297 circa, mentre sommando quelli di "memomoria virtuale" si arriva a 360 circa

ad ogni modo io chiedevo sul termine del processo perché a me servirebbe poter chiudere il processo a sessione in corso.

in poche parole io uso un videogioco online e, non avendo tanta ram (e occupandomene per ora tanta l'antivir) ho bisogno di tener chiuso l'antivirus quando gioco.
