Problemi con il boot

Salve, su un portatile avevo installato sia Windows sia Linux Mint. Tutto andava alla perfezione fino a quando non decido di installare un terzo sistema operativo, Kubuntu.
L'installazione di Kubuntu è andata bene,
Ora se avvio Kubuntu o Windows tutto ok.
Se tento di avviare Linux Mint si interrompe il processo e appare la schermata nera con il seguente testo:

Da notare che se avvio Kubuntu riesco a vedere la partizione dove è installato Mint, con tutti i suoi files.

Penso che ci sia un problema nel menu di configurazione di grub creato da kubuntu.(per essere precisi che non venga detto a mint quale partizione sia la sua / ).

Se da kubuntu posti l'output del comando sudo fdisk -l e anche il pezzo del file /boot/grub/menu.lst che riguarda l'avvio di mint possiamo verificare che il problema non sia proprio quello.

Se da kubuntu posti l'output del comando sudo fdisk -l e anche il pezzo del file /boot/grub/menu.lst che riguarda l'avvio di mint possiamo verificare che il problema non sia proprio quello.

Alla fine ho risolto leggendo qui:

Come puoi notare, il sistema preso in considerazione, Linux Mint, è installato su /dev/sda5 ma erratamente Grub è stato configurato indicando al kernel la partizione /dev/sda8 quale root....
... che in realtà in base a fdsik -l la partizione sda8 non esiste.

Infine, sono state create inutilmente 2 partizioni di swap... una era più che sufficiente perché può essere condivisa.
