Formattare per bene un DVD

E' successo qualcosa a quattro DVD-RW Verbatim.
Nero 7 Ultra non me li masterizzava, allora li ho passati in formattazione con K3B (un prog per Linux) e la formattazione è andata a buon fine. Solo che Nero continua a non masterizzarmeli.
Ho provato a cancellarli anche con Nero, ma la formattazione completa si ferma a 8 secondi e mi espelle il disco.
Se provo ad analizzarne il contenuto, mi dice che il disco è vuoto (ma dai!), ma se provo a masterizzare anche un microfile l'errore riportato è il seguente:

si, per caso hai un buon programma di masterizzazione che faccia in modo definitivo la formattazione di un DVD riscrivibile?

La versione 7 di Nero, è risaputo presenti alcuni problemi (magari questo è un altro).

Credo che Nero 6.xx svolga eccellentemente il proprio lavoro.

Da non escludere che l'unità ottica possa avere qualche problema.

Per l' esperienza personale ti posso dire che se non hai il masterizzatore completamente combattibile i DVD-RW di Verbatim puoi considerare usa e getta.
Se hai la possibilità prova a masterizzarli con altro supporto ottico.

Quoto, e prova inoltre ad aggiornare il firmware del lettore per vedere se la compatibilità con i supporti aumenta.

P.S.I DVD-RW non sono il massimo, per operazioni di scrittura e masterizzazione in multisessione. Ti consiglio di utilizzare supporti di classe + (DVD+RW, quindi), molto più avanzati da questo punto di vista....
