Il desktop non funziona

Scusate ho un computer con Windows 7 home premium 64bit non mi funziona più il desktop, mi spiego meglio sono scomparse tutte le cartelle e i file che c'erano, non riesco a crearne di nuovi e neanche a "evidenziare" col mouse nessuna parte dello schermo.
Ho pensato che fosse explorer ma il processo è attivo infatti riesco ad andare su documeni e tutte le altre cartelle.
Vi prego aiuatemi.

Ciao, prova a fare clic destro su un punto vuoto del desktop, scegli la voce "Visualizza" e spunta "Mostra icone del dekstop".

Vedi se così risolvi.

Potrebbe essere un involontario effetto collaterale dovuto all'installazione recente di qualche software; comunque l'importante è che la cosa si sia risolta
