forse, dovrei formattare dal DOS per mantenere ciò che mi interessa??? oppure ciò che accade è normale?

Ti consiglierei di usare FDISK per formattare, in questo modo digitando format c: /s potrai formattare solo la partizione c: lasciandola attiva.
